Born from the process of demolition and reconstruction of a district, the Appartement is a work created from a collection of furniture and objects collected from persons recently rehomed. After the ‘Boutique-Souvenirs’ presented at ‘La Gravette’ commercial centre, the Appartement was installed in a forest, prolonging the cycle of reuse of these objects in a continuum that becomes increasingly bizarre.
The appartement in the forest was a temporary installation lasting no more than 48 hours. More than a scene to be observed, the Appartment existed as a living situation and included an evening concert, dancing, a meal, relaxation etc.
